Our Culture

OUR DRIVERS — What Sets Us Apart

HIS PRESENCE OVER PERFORMANCE

As carriers of God’s presence, we refuse to be driven by a desire to perform for the approval or applause of man. Instead, we are obsessed with finding out what pleases the Lord. In everything we do, we desire to go with Him instead of simply going for Him. We fully understand that if we were trying to please man, we wouldn’t be servants of Christ.
[Ephesians 5:10, Galatians 1:10, Romans 8:14]

RIGHTEOUSNESS OVER RELEVANCE

We desire to be in right standing with God, even at the risk of being unaligned with the ways of the world. There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. While we are aware of the ways of culture, we refuse to be driven by them. Heaven is our standard, not the relevance of culture.
[Proverbs 14:11-12, Matthew 5:6, Matthew 6:33, Psalm 34:15, Psalm 55:22, Romans 12:2]

RELATIONSHIP OVER OPPORTUNITY

We don’t sacrifice God-ordained relationships on the altar of good opportunities. We believe that God cares about both the relationships and opportunities He puts in front of us. We aren't driven by opportunities, but we are led by love. We commit to an eternal perspective and loving what Jesus loves most—people.
[Philippians 2:3-8, 1 Corinthians 16:14, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7]

OBEDIENCE OVER SACRIFICE

We are obsessed with hearing and obeying God, at all costs. We seek His face daily and do exactly as He asks—nothing more out of pride and nothing less out of fear. While the world glorifies busyness and hustle, God honors simple obedience.
[1 Samuel 15:22, John 15:14, John 14:23]

CHARACTER OVER GIFTING

We believe our gifting will make room for us and bring us before great men. However, our character is what allows us to remain. We desire fruit that remains, so we willingly choose to submit ourselves to His process of pruning.
[Proverbs 2:21-22, Proverbs 10:9, Galatians 5:22-23, John 15:4-5, Proverbs 10:9, 1 Samuel 16:7]

COLLABORATION OVER COMPETITION

We lay down selfish ambition, making the decision to work together to see the ultimate win—the fulfillment of God's dreams in the earth. We compete to win, but recognize we are a small part of a big team. So, we choose to collaborate to see all cross the finish line.
[James 3:16, Luke 22:24-27, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, 1 Corinthians 3:5-9]

KINGDOM OVER CULTURE

We seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, fully persuaded that God will give us everything we need. We choose to live with and move from an eternal, Kingdom perspective over being fixated on contributing to an ever-changing culture. We believe living with this perspective produces the reality of seeing Heaven on earth.
[Galatians 5:16, Hebrews 12:26-29, Romans 12:2, Matthew 6:33, Matthew 6:10]

INTERCESSION OVER INFATUATION

We ask God for His heart and His mind for His sons and daughters. We choose to exchange our earthly obsessions and motivations for a heart posture that assigns Heaven’s value to people and places.
[Daniel 2:17-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22, 1 Samuel 2:35]

OUR VALUES — How We Act Our Best

Health

LEADERS GO FIRST

We remain healthy by prioritizing daily personal encounters with God, pursuing purity, putting family first, and protecting our sabbath so we can lead others in health.
[Matthew 6:33, Proverbs 3:5-8]

Forgiveness

IT’S NOT OPTIONAL

We love mercy, so we show mercy. Forgiveness is for you, not for them. There is no spiritual growth without forgiveness.
[Ephesians 4:32, Matthew 6:14-15, Colossians 3:13]

Authenticity

WE DON’T DO FAKE

We disciple through real relationships. We create an atmosphere for people to be open and honest by leading in vulnerability and transparency.
[ 2 Corinthians 11:27-30, 2 Corinthians 12:9]

Trust

LEAN INTO AWKWARD

We build the trust, character and relationships of tomorrow by engaging in the tough conversations today.
[Matthew 18:15-20, Matthew 5:24]

Excellence

GIVE YOUR ALL

We represent the Lord by doing the best we can with what we have.
[Colossians 3:23-24, Daniel 6:3, Exodus 31:1-11]

Generosity

NO STRINGS ATTACHED

We don’t give to get. We give our time, treasure and talents from a heart of love with pure motives.
[Acts 20:35, 1 Timothy 6:18-19, 2 Corinthians 9:7, Romans 13:8]

Communication

DOWN SHIFT

We choose to slow down and communicate clearly today, so that we can move forward faster tomorrow.
[Romans 14:19, James 1:19]

Empowerment

OUR HEART, YOUR MIND

We empower those with our heart to lead with their mind. We trade empowerment for teachability and humility.
[Exodus 18:13-26, James 4:10, Psalm 25:9]

Feedback

HEAR HEAR

We believe healthy feedback is a 2 way street. We welcome opportunities to hear what is in your heart, and we commit to clarifying what is in ours.
[Proverbs 1:5, Proverbs 19:20, James 1:19]

Celebration

PUT IT ON THE BOARD

If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong! We make time to celebrate the little wins that create a big victory.
[Romans 15:5-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:16, Hebrews 10:24-25]

Honor

GOVERNED BY HONOR

Honor reflects Heaven's value. Honor protects freedom, creates safe places and reflects a Kingdom identity. Honor is about self-control not control.
[1 Samuel 2:30, Romans 12:10, 1 Peter 2:17, Matthew 4:1-11, Isaiah 29:13, Mark 6:1-6, Proverbs 3:9-10]

Stewardship

THE THIRD OPTION

We manage Heaven’s resources for the Father’s business. The heart’s cry of a good steward is, “It will never be mine; it will always be Yours!” When given the choice between an ownership or employment mentality, we choose the third option—stewardship.
[Matthew 25:14-30, 1 Kings 3:16-28, Psalms 24:1]

DAILY ENCOUNTERS

There is only one way to God, and it’s through Jesus — but in Jesus, there are many ways to connect with God. We disciple people by helping them discover how they best connect with God and by teaching them to access the presence of God on a daily basis.
Matthew 6:7-15, Proverbs 8:34, John 15:4, 1 Samuel 3:10

OUR STANDARDS OF LEADERSHIP — Who We Empower

FORGIVENESS

Forgiveness is not optional. When you stop forgiving, you stop spiritually growing. We are never more like Jesus than when we are forgiving!
Ephesians 4:32, Matthew 6:14-15, Colossians 3:13

sabbath

We are committed to honor the Sabbath. We set apart one day a week and keep it holy unto the Lord. The Sabbath was made for us to rest, heal and hear God.
Hebrews 4:9, Exodus 20:8, Isaiah 56:2, Ezekiel 20:12, Mark 3:1-6

tithe

We honor the Lord with the tithe. With joy, we give to God our first and our best!
Malachi 3:8-10, Matthew 23:23-24

Unity

The favor of God is found in unity. Our desire is to be in perfect unity with the Holy Spirit, which brings us into unity with one another! We understand that unity pleases the Lord.
Psalm 133, Ephesians 4:2-6
